Differences between Comfort Move & Comfort Assist
Although the models are approved as medical devices, there are slight differences:
Comfort Move: Ideal for those looking for a support to safely go out and remain independent and active both inside and outside the home. It has a very compact size and is very lightweight (5.4 kg).
Its ergonomic, angled handlebar is ideal for everyday use, but we do not recommend it if the person has to support their entire body weight on the handlebar to walk, as the stroller could lift up (due to the diagonal direction of the handlebar).
On the other hand, it is ideal for going up and down stairs, as the person can easily lift the stroller.
Comfort Assist: Ideal for those who need to support their body weight on the walker, both for walking/going out safely, and for getting up/sitting down. Thanks to its uniquely designed vertical handlebar, the user can support their entire body weight on it with maximum safety, as the weight will be distributed vertically and will never rise.
It is bigger than the Comfort Move (the seat and wheels are larger) and weighs slightly more (7 kg).
Is it approved as a Medical Device?
Both our Comfort Assist and Comfort Move models are approved as medical devices. This means they have passed the highest quality standards to achieve this certification, and both are approved as Class I Medical Devices according to EU Regulation 2017/745 MDR.
